Hillah: A patrol from the District Police Directorate of the Babylon Police Command, in cooperation with a citizen, arrested a driver who fired bullets from inside his car in the Bazl Haji Ali area of Abi Ghraq district, west of Hillah.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Brigadier General Adel Al-Husseini, the media director of the Babylon Police, stated that the central control was immediately notified, and they tracked the vehicle’s path via surveillance cameras. It was found that it was moving towards 100th Street, where it was tracked with the help of an informant.

He added that during the chase, the driver attempted to flee at high speed, causing him to lose control of his vehicle and collide with two vehicles on the road. The traffic report indicated that the accused bears full responsibility for the accident.

After the vehicle came to a stop, the patrol moved to arrest the accused and seize a Kalashnikov firearm in his possession, in addition to a bottle of alcoholic beverages inside the vehicle.
