Salah al-Din Criminal Court Sentences Drug Dealer to Life Imprisonment

Salah al-din: The Salah al-Din Criminal Court has sentenced a convict to life imprisonment for drug trafficking.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Supreme Judicial Council announced that the individual was found in possession of multiple illegal substances, including crystal meth, methamphetamine, and heroin. In addition, the convict had 48 ampoules, an electronic scale, three glass pipes, and other materials related to the sale and use of narcotics.

The ruling was delivered under Article 28/First of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law No. 50 of 2017. This legislation outlines severe penalties for those involved in the drug trade, emphasizing the region’s commitment to combating narcotics distribution.
