Kirkuk: Member of the Kirkuk Provincial Council, Sawsan Abdul Wahid Jadou, condemned the shooting of a group of young people celebrating in the Altun Kopri district by a police officer, considering this action a clear violation of the law and the safety of citizens.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Jadou emphasized that all supporters of lists and candidates have the right to express their joy and celebrate in a peaceful and civilized atmosphere, far from any actions that may threaten the security or safety of citizens.
She stressed the need to take urgent and decisive measures against the person responsible for the incident, affirming that anyone who abuses their authority and violates the law will be held accountable without leniency.
Jadou called for calm and self-restraint, noting that the primary role of the security forces is to protect citizens and maintain their security, not to expose them to danger or intimidate them.
