Baghdad: The dollar exchange rate against the Iraqi dinar experienced a slight decline in the capital’s markets as stock exchanges closed this evening. The fluctuation in the exchange rate was observed across various stock exchanges, marking a subtle yet notable change in the local financial landscape.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the dollar exchange rate stabilized on Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya stock exchanges in Baghdad, recording 141,450 dinars for every $100, compared to 141,500 dinars earlier in the day. This stabilization reflects a slight decrease in the exchange rate, indicative of minor adjustments in the currency market.
In the local markets of Baghdad, the selling price in exchange shops reached 142,500 dinars for every $100, while the buying price was recorded at 140,500 dinars. This shift in the exchange rate hints at ongoing fluctuations in the demand and supply dynamics within the region.
Meanwhile, in Erbil, the dollar also saw a decline, with the selling price reaching 141,150 dinars for every $100 and the buying price at 141,000 dinars for every $100. The trend observed in Erbil aligns with the changes seen in Baghdad, suggesting broader movements in the currency exchange market across different regions.
