Baghdad: Baghdad Operations Command announced the arrest of several violators and the seizure of weapons, ammunition, foreign passports, vehicles, and motorcycles through the establishment of surprise and temporary checkpoints in Karkh and Rusafa districts of the capital.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Command stated in a press release: “Detachments of Baghdad Joint Operations Command continue to establish surprise temporary checkpoints to enhance security and stability in the area. During the past 24 hours, they were able to arrest several violators, including two individuals, one of whom was found with 15 foreign passports in his possession without authorization. Others were arrested for possessing unlicensed weapons and for trafficking and using narcotics. Various weapons and ammunition were seized, in addition to impounding vehicles and motorcycles that violated traffic regulations in both Karkh and Rusafa districts.”
