Basra: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has instructed the relevant authorities to facilitate the entry of Emirati fans into Iraq to attend the crucial match between the Iraqi and Emirati national teams. The match, a part of the final round of Asian qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, is scheduled to take place at the Basra International Stadium on Tuesday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sudani urged Iraqi sports fan groups to extend a warm welcome to their Emirati counterparts, emphasizing the importance of brotherhood and camaraderie. He encouraged fans to use the occasion to strengthen the ties between the two nations, highlighting Iraqi generosity, hospitality, and sportsmanship.
