Duhok: The President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, met with the President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Masoud Barzani, during his visit to Duhok. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Middle East Forum for Peace and Security.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Supreme Judicial Council released a statement highlighting that the discussions between Zaidan and Barzani centered on the latest developments in the recent electoral process. Both leaders emphasized the urgency of forming a government in accordance with the constitution.

Barzani took the opportunity to commend the Iraqi judiciary for its significant role in safeguarding the democratic process.
