Baghdad: Civil Defense teams extinguished a fire that broke out inside a house used as a fireworks warehouse in the Saydiya district of Baghdad.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Civil Defense Directorate stated in a press release that its teams were able to extinguish a fire that broke out inside a two-story house, to which an additional structure made of sandwich panels had been added. The house was being used as a fireworks warehouse in the Saydiya district of Baghdad.

The statement confirmed that Civil Defense teams in the Karkh district of Baghdad deployed their specialized and support vehicles to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighboring houses. Simultaneously, they carried out evacuations of nearby homes until they were able to fully control and extinguish the fire completely. No injuries were reported.
