Najaf Police Refute Reports of Drone Seizure in Governorate

Najaf: The Najaf Governorate Police Command has denied reports circulating on social media about a supposed raid in the governorate’s desert, which allegedly resulted in the seizure of drones and other violations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Command issued a statement asserting that the reports are false. The statement clarified that no such raid has occurred, and no drones or illegal activities have been detected within the governorate’s administrative boundaries. There has been no unusual deployment of forces in the Old City or any other part of the governorate.

The statement further explained that Najaf maintains a stable security environment. The Command’s units, in conjunction with security and intelligence agencies and supported by the Imam Ali (PBUH) Division, continue to perform routine security operations in the desert to monitor illegal activities. These operations are standard procedures conducted regularly. The police command reassured that its areas of responsibility are fully secured, with no threats to the security of residents or religious and vital sites in the governorate.

The Command urged all social media platforms and media outlets to exercise caution and ensure information is verified exclusively through official sources before publication.
