Karbala: The representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sayyid Ahmed Al-Safi, commended the vital role played by the media in enhancing public awareness, emphasizing that freedom of expression is a fundamental human right that must be practiced with professionalism and responsibility, while respecting the religious identity and unique character of the holy city of Karbala.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during his meeting with the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate’s Karbala branch, Hussein Al-Aliyani, Al-Safi expressed appreciation for the media’s efforts in conveying citizens’ concerns and highlighting their challenges, noting that such work contributes to promoting the public interest of Iraq and the province of Karbala.

For his part, Al-Aliyani conveyed the greetings of the President of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, the President of the Federation of Arab Journalists, Moayad Al-Lami, who places great importance on preserving the city’s religious identity and sanctity. Al-Lami remains committed to fostering a professional and balanced media discourse that respects Karbala’s unique status, serves the community, and upholds the city’s distinguished media image.
