Baghdad: The head of the media team for the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC), Imad Jamil, disclosed the timeline for submitting the final results of the parliamentary elections to the Federal Supreme Court for ratification. Jamil announced that the IHEC is scheduled to send the election results, which include details of both winners and losers, to the Federal Supreme Court either today or tomorrow, Tuesday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Jamil clarified that the judiciary has disqualified six winning candidates, with their decisions being final, binding, and not open to appeal. These disqualified candidates have been replaced by other candidates. He also noted that the Federal Supreme Court is expected to promptly ratify the election results. Following this, the results will be forwarded to the President of the Republic, who will subsequently summon the first session of the new parliament within 15 days of receiving the results.
