Baghdad: Sheikh Qais Al-Khazali, the Secretary-General of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, engaged in discussions with a delegation led by Faleh Al-Fayyadh from the Reconstruction and Development Alliance. The talks focused on strategies to bolster the political process and enhance collaboration among national forces to serve the public interest.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from Sheikh Al-Khazali’s media office confirmed the meeting took place in Baghdad. The delegation extended their congratulations on the successful parliamentary elections and the victory of the Sadiqoun Movement, which garnered significant voter confidence.

The statement highlighted Al-Fayyadh’s praise for the smooth electoral process and the transparent atmosphere, attributing it to the increasing political awareness among Iraqi citizens. He acknowledged the role of the Sadiqoun Movement in recent years and its clear vision on security, political, and service issues.

Sheikh Al-Khazali expressed gratitude for the visit, noting that the election results impose a major national responsibility on all political forces. He stressed the importance of cooperation to expedite the formation of a new government capable of addressing challenges, enhancing stability, and meeting the aspirations of the Iraqi people with concrete actions.

The statement also mentioned that both parties discussed mechanisms to support the political process, develop a stable environment, and strengthen cooperation among national forces for the public good.
