Hilla: A force from Al-Hashimiyah police station south of Hilla arrested a gang specializing in burglarizing houses under construction in several administrative units south of Hilla on Sunday.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Babylon Police Media Director, Brigadier General Adel Al-Husseini, stated that the arrests were made following numerous reports from citizens in Al-Hashimiyah district, Al-Hamza Al-Gharbi sub-district, and Al-Shomali sub-district. Residents in these areas had reported burglaries occurring in their houses under construction. The security force successfully tracked the thieves and apprehended them during an ambush in Al-Hashimiyah district south of Hilla.
The police have since transferred the suspects to the relevant authorities for further investigation.
