Baghdad: The Counter-Terrorism Service has announced the successful arrest of five terrorists in an operation conducted across various regions of Iraq. This operation was carried out with the aid of judicial warrants, precise intelligence, and ongoing field surveillance.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Service reported that the operation led to the capture of two terrorists in Kirkuk Governorate. These individuals were identified as transporters, suppliers, and vendors for the remnants of the defeated ISIS terrorist organization.
In Anbar Governorate, the Counter-Terrorism Service executed two security operations resulting in the detention of two additional terrorists. One of these individuals was reportedly involved in several sectors of the so-called “Anbar Province” under ISIS control.
Furthermore, in Nineveh Governorate, the Service conducted a specialized operation that led to the arrest of another terrorist linked to the remaining ISIS elements. The Counter-Terrorism Service continues its efforts to dismantle terrorist networks and maintain security in the region.
