Baghdad: An informed political source announced the conclusion of the first round of meetings of leaders in the National Political Council at the home of Sheikh Khamis al-Khanjar, without a resolution on the candidate for Speaker of Parliament.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the source added that the Council will hold another meeting tonight to finalize the nomination.
