Basra: Basra Governor Asaad Al-Eidani received the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Iraq, Dr. Mohammed Al-Hassan, today, on the occasion of the end of his official duties in Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Hassan arrived today at Basra International Airport, where he was welcomed by the head of the Provincial Council’s Security Committee, Talib Al-Fariji. During the meeting, Al-Fariji emphasized the importance of continued international cooperation to support security and stability in Basra Governorate and Iraq in general.
