Rafah: Hollywood star Angelina Jolie visited North Sinai and the Rafah border crossing in Egypt on Friday to document the scale of the humanitarian crisis and support ongoing relief efforts for Palestinians in Gaza. She was accompanied by Ambassador Nabila Makram Ebeid and U.S. State Department representative Arwa Jayeri.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Jolie visited wounded and injured Palestinians at Al-Arish General Hospital, listened to survivors’ testimonies, and inquired about their health. During a comprehensive tour that began at the heart of the medical facilities and continued to the border, the actress expressed that what she witnessed from some of the wounded Palestinians is beyond description. She praised the medical teams in Al-Arish for their work.
The delegation later inspected the humanitarian and logistical aid warehouses, where Jolie was briefed on the sorting and convoy preparation processes. Jolie also stopped at the Rafah border crossing, where she learned about the crossing procedures and coordination mechanisms with the Egyptian Red Crescent.
