Erbil: The President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, emphasized the importance of submitting the names of candidates for the presidency within the specified timeframe.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Supreme Judicial Council’s media office indicated that “the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, met with the President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Masoud Barzani, during his visit to Erbil.”

The statement highlighted Zaidan’s stress on “the importance of submitting the names of candidates for the presidency within the timeframe stipulated by law.”

Barzani, on his part, praised “the judiciary’s role in upholding the constitutional deadlines for forming the legislative and executive branches.”
