Washington: US Attorney General Pam Bondi has filed charges against Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro related to drug trafficking and terrorism. Bondi has also accused Maduro of possessing machine guns and weapons of mass destruction and conspiring against the United States.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the US Attorney General declared that “Maduro and his wife will soon face American justice on our soil and in our courts.” This announcement follows the earlier statement by US President Donald Trump about the arrest of the Venezuelan president and his wife and their transfer out of Venezuela.
Meanwhile, the Venezuelan Vice President has expressed concerns over the situation, stating that the government is unaware of the whereabouts of Maduro and his wife. The Vice President has demanded proof that they are alive, highlighting the ongoing tension and uncertainty surrounding the arrest.
