Washington: US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau announced that Venezuelan President Nicol¡s Maduro will be brought to trial for “crimes he is accused of.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Landau wrote on the X platform: “Now, [Maduro] will finally be brought to justice to be held accountable for his crimes.”

US President Donald Trump had previously announced a “large-scale, successful strike” against Venezuela, asserting that Maduro and his wife had been captured and removed from the country. Trump promised to provide further details in the coming hours.
