Caracas: Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei held a telephone conversation with Ali Chegni, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Caracas, where he expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Ambassador and the staff of the Iranian embassy in Caracas and received updates on the developments and situation in the Latin American country.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Baqaei emphasized Iran’s principled stance in condemning US military aggression and violations against Venezuela’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity. He expressed confidence that the Venezuelan people would protect their country’s independence and national interests by maintaining national unity and cohesion and continue on the path of national development and progress.

The Ambassador of Iran to Venezuela explained the measures taken to fulfill the embassy’s duties and assured that all Iranian citizens residing in Venezuela are in good health. He also mentioned that the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran is prepared to provide assistance to Iranian citizens residing in Venezuela.
