Iraqi Oil Exports to US Declined Last Week


Washington: The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) announced a decrease in Iraqi oil exports to the United States last week.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the EIA reported that the average US crude oil imports from nine major countries reached 5.667 million barrels per day, marking an increase of 1.335 million barrels per day compared to the previous week’s total of 4.332 million barrels per day.



The EIA specified that the average Iraqi oil exports to the US amounted to 129,000 barrels per day. This figure represents a decrease of 228,000 barrels per day from the previous week’s export rate of 357,000 barrels per day.



The EIA also noted that the largest share of US oil imports last week was sourced from Canada, followed by Saudi Arabia, Mexico, and Colombia. Additionally, the data revealed that US crude oil imports continued from Brazil, Nigeria, Venezuela, and Libya, while no oil was imported from Ecuador.
