Baghdad: The Israeli army launched a series of airstrikes and drone attacks today, Sunday, on several areas in southern Lebanon, focusing on towns and border and mountainous areas, in a new escalation on the southern front. Western media reported that an Israeli drone dropped a bomb in the center of the town of Adaysseh, coinciding with Israeli forces conducting a sweep with machine guns from the Jurdah position towards the town of Dhahira.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, successive Israeli raids also targeted the outskirts of the town of Mahmoudiya in the Jezzine district, and the Wadi Barghaz area in the Hasbaya district, where video footage documented the moment of the bombing of the area, in addition to bombing the heights of Jabal al-Rayhan in the Iqlim al-Tuffah region and the outskirts of the town of Jbaa.
Heavy airstrikes also targeted the outskirts of the towns of Aishiya, Jabbour, and Rihan, across a wide geographical area in southern Lebanon, amid fears of an escalation in attacks and a rise in human and material losses.
