Counter-Terrorism Service Arrests Three Terrorists in Anbar and Sulaymaniyah


Baghdad: The Counter-Terrorism Service announced the arrest of three terrorists in Anbar and Sulaymaniyah.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Service stated that its forces executed a series of operations leading to the capture of three terrorists in different regions of the country. The operations were conducted with the assistance of the Iraqi National Intelligence Service, resulting in the arrest of one terrorist in Anbar Governorate.



In addition, a joint operation with the Asayish Operations Directorate of the Kurdistan Region led to the capture of another terrorist in Sulaymaniyah Governorate. The Service further detailed a special operation in Anbar Governorate, which resulted in the arrest of a terrorist who had been involved with the “Diyala Province” as a security operative and had participated in bomb-making and manufacturing workshops for the ISIS terrorist group.



The Service emphasized that its operations are grounded in precise intelligence information and judicial orders from the agency’s investigating judge. This approach aligns with the agency’s strategy to achieve a safe and stable Iraq.
