Tehran: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian issued a stern warning on Sunday, stating that any attack on the country’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, would be perceived as an all-out war against the Iranian populace.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, President Pezeshkian’s warning followed comments made by US President Donald Trump in an interview with Politico. Trump suggested it was time for new leadership in Iran, a statement made in retaliation to Khamenei’s critical posts targeting him. Pezeshkian emphasized that any targeting of the Supreme Leader would unite the nation in defense, framing it as an attack on the Iranian people at large.
