Basra: The technical and engineering staff of the Iraqi Drilling Company has successfully completed the drilling of the Zubair/664 oil well in the Zubair oil field, located in the Basra Governorate. Utilizing the IDC 51 drilling rig, the team reached a depth of 3,932 meters as part of ongoing efforts to support and increase oil production.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the company’s media office released a statement noting that the drilling operation adhered strictly to technical standards, safety protocols, and quality requirements, while also meeting the predetermined timelines. This achievement underscores the proficiency of the technical and engineering staff and their capability to carry out drilling projects efficiently. It also plays a pivotal role in supporting the Ministry of Oil’s strategic plans and enhancing the sustainability of the nation’s oil sector.
