Baghdad: The US Embassy in Baghdad announced the execution of a routine joint security exercise with Iraqi authorities this morning. The exercise was scheduled to occur at key locations, including the US Embassy itself and the Baghdad International Airport.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Embassy released an official statement detailing the exercise’s logistics. It noted, “The joint exercise will take place at the US Embassy in Baghdad and Baghdad International Airport.” The statement also reassured that while there will be an increased security presence, including personnel and vehicle movements, normal operations at both the airport and the Embassy are expected to continue throughout the exercise.
