Baghdad: Nouri al-Maliki, head of the State of Law Coalition, met with a delegation from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) to discuss the importance of continuing consultations to expedite the election of the president. His media office stated that al-Maliki received the PUK delegation, led by Qubad Talabani, at his office this evening.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting addressed developments in the political landscape and ongoing dialogues aimed at fulfilling constitutional requirements according to the established timelines. Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing consultations to expedite the election of the president and form a government. They also highlighted the need to work in a spirit of shared responsibility to ensure security, stability, and progress in Iraq.
