Baghdad: The exchange rate of the US dollar experienced a decline in Baghdad’s markets as the local stock exchange came to a close. The dollar was recorded trading at 149,300 Iraqi dinars per 100 US dollars in Baghdad’s Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya stock exchanges, showing a decrease from the earlier rate of 153,000 dinars per 100 US dollars.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, currency exchange offices in Baghdad reported a selling price of 149,750 dinars per 100 US dollars, while the buying price was documented at 148,750 dinars per 100 US dollars. This reflects the downward trend seen in the market.
In Erbil, the dollar also saw a reduction in its exchange rate, with the selling price at 149,000 dinars per 100 US dollars and the buying price at 148,600 dinars per 100 US dollars. This indicates a similar pattern of decline in the region, aligning with the fluctuations in Baghdad’s currency market.
