Baghdad: The Inspector General of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Jassim Mohammed Alwan, emphasized today, during his meeting with the Assistant US Military Attach©, Lieutenant Colonel Matt Schluppner, the importance of strengthening joint cooperation to contribute to the development and exchange of expertise in administrative and organizational fields.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting included a detailed briefing on the tasks and mechanisms for inspecting Iraqi Army units by the Inspectorate. Several issues related to inspection procedures were also discussed, as well as the Inspectorate’s role in reducing financial and administrative corruption through receiving complaints from soldiers via a hotline.

Both sides stressed the importance of strengthening joint cooperation and continuing coordination to serve the development of the long-established military institution.
