Tehran: Following the interventionist and offensive remarks of the German Chancellor against Iran and the provocative positions of officials of that country regarding the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Foreign Ministry has summoned the German ambassador in Tehran. Axel Dittmann was summoned on Thursday to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by Alireza Yousefi, the assistant to the Foreign Minister and director general of the Iranian Foreign Ministry for Western Europe.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, during this summoning session, the strong protest of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the interventionist and irresponsible positions of German officials was conveyed to the ambassador. Recalling Germany’s support for Iraq, including provision of chemical weapons, during the eight-year imposed war against Iran, and Berlin’s failure to take any action to hold accountable and punish those responsible for sending chemical weapons or to compensate for the damages and injuries caused, Yousefi emphasized that Germany’s claims of concern for human rights are in no way consistent with its conduct.

He also referred to Germany’s all-out support for the genocide of Palestinians and the offensive remarks by German officials during the 12-day imposed war of the Israeli regime against Iran, and emphasized that the German chancellor, Friedrich Merz, has no moral standing to lecture about the human rights of Iranians. Yousefi also pointed to the unparalleled role of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) in combating terrorism and protecting Iran’s security and national sovereignty, and emphasized that any action to label a part of the official armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran constitutes a clear violation of international law and violation of Iran’s security and national sovereignty, and will certainly be met with Tehran’s response.

The German ambassador said in the meeting that he would convey the received points and messages to Berlin.
