Basra: Basra Provincial Council member Hassan Shaddad Al-Fares announced on Saturday that the Basra Health Department has finalized contracts with over 400 resident physicians, all graduates of 2024. He stated that their deployment to government hospitals will begin next Wednesday.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Fares added in a statement that the Basra Governorate Office has also completed contracts for 4,150 employees who have been assigned to the Basra Health Department. These employees will then be distributed to health institutions and centers according to their job titles and the actual needs of each facility.
He noted that the assignment process took into consideration the residents’ places of residence to facilitate their commutes. He emphasized that this step is part of ongoing efforts to improve the level of healthcare services in government hospitals and centers throughout the province.
