Turkey Strongly Condemns Israeli Attacks on Gaza and Ceasefire Violations

Ankara: The Turkish Foreign Ministry strongly condemned Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip and its continued violation of the ceasefire that has been in effect since October 10th.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, this came in a statement issued by the Turkish Foreign Ministry following the killing of 37 Palestinians in approximately 24 hours by Israeli airstrikes targeting various areas of the Gaza Strip, in continued violations of the ceasefire agreement.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry stressed in its statement that the Israeli attacks came at a time when the peace process in Gaza had entered a new phase. It said: “These attacks threaten international efforts aimed at establishing calm and stability in Gaza, and confirm once again that Israel does not want peace in the region.”

The Turkish Foreign Ministry stressed the necessity of Israel’s compliance with all provisions of the peace plan adopted by the UN Security Council, including maintaining the ceasefire and ensuring the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza. It also emphasized the importance of the international community fulfilling its responsibility in advancing the peace process.

Since the agreement came into effect, the Israeli army has committed 1,450 violations, resulting in 524 Palestinian deaths and approximately 1,360 injuries, according to the latest figures from the Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip.
