MP Al-Saadi Highlights Incomplete Parliament Session Due to Kurdish Disagreement and External Pressures

Baghdad: MP Murtada Al-Saadi confirmed that today’s Parliament session did not achieve a quorum. Al-Saadi stated in a press release that this was due to the lack of Kurdish consensus, in addition to external pressures that affected the convening of the session and the proceedings of the House of Representatives.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the absence of a unified stance among Kurdish representatives played a significant role in the inability to reach the required quorum. The session’s failure is attributed to both internal disagreements and influences from external entities, which Al-Saadi suggests have impacted the legislative process.

The issues surrounding today’s session highlight ongoing challenges within the parliamentary framework, where achieving consensus is often hindered by political and external dynamics.
