Baghdad: The Secretary-General of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, Sheikh Qais Khazali, and the Head of the Hikma Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, emphasized today, Monday, the importance of respecting constitutional timelines in the government formation process and expediting the election of the President of the Republic.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Sheikh al-Khazali’s media office stated in a press release that the Secretary-General received the head of the Hikma Movement at his office in Baghdad, where they discussed the overall situation in the country.

The statement added that the meeting addressed the importance of respecting constitutional timelines in the government formation process, expediting the selection of the President, and discussing the political situation and the positions of national forces to ensure consensus and stability in the national landscape.
