Baghdad: Parliament Speaker Haibat al-Halbousi engaged in discussions with the Italian and Romanian Ambassadors, focusing on mutual interests and cooperation between Iraq and the respective countries.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Parliament Speaker Haibat al-Halbousi welcomed the Italian Ambassador to Iraq, Nicola Fontana, who extended his congratulations to al-Halbousi on his election as Speaker for the sixth parliamentary session. The meeting also covered bilateral relations and aimed to strengthen cooperation in mutually beneficial areas.

The media office further reported that al-Halbousi met with the Romanian Ambassador to Iraq, Octavian Dobre, on Monday. Discussions centered around the possibilities for cooperation between Iraq and Romania and methods to enhance these relations. The Romanian ambassador also congratulated al-Halbousi on his recent election as Speaker for the sixth session.
