Sulaimaniyah: The Coordination Framework delegation and Bafel Talabani highlighted the significance of addressing the vacant presidential position and advancing the fulfillment of constitutional requirements.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the media office indicated that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani met in Sulaimaniyah Governorate with Bafel Talabani, the head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK). He was accompanied by the Coordination Framework delegation, which included Badr Organization Secretary-General Hadi al-Amiri, Head of the Al-Asas Coalition Mohsen al-Mandalawi, and Secretary-General of the Framework Abbas Radhi.
The meeting reviewed the overall situation and developments at both national and regional levels. It underscored the necessity of resolving the presidential vacancy and fulfilling constitutional requirements by forming a government that reflects the aspirations of all Iraqis. The discussions also focused on continuing the reform, reconstruction, and development progress observed in Iraq in recent years.
Additionally, the meeting addressed the need to unify national positions and visions concerning various challenges, particularly in light of the current regional situation.
