Basra: The Director of Basra Agriculture, Engineer Hadi Hussein Qasim, met with a delegation from the World Food Programme (WFP) to discuss supporting the agricultural sector and implementing the ‘We Launch’ project.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Directorate’s media office stated: ‘During the meeting, the mechanisms for joint work and the components of the ‘We Launch’ project program were discussed. This project aims to support women and economically marginalized groups. The meeting also addressed the key points that will be addressed in the project’s implementation, through the formation of community working groups that will contribute to serving the agricultural sector in the districts of Basra Governorate covered by the project.’

The Director of Agriculture emphasized: ‘The importance of strengthening joint cooperation and providing broader support to farmers, which will contribute to developing the agricultural sector in Basra Governorate.’
