Baghdad: Oil prices continued their decline for the second consecutive day, affected by market factors and the strength of the dollar. Brent crude futures fell 39 cents, or 0.5%, to $65.91 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures settled at $61.83 a barrel, down 31 cents, or 0.5%.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, oil prices fell by more than 4% yesterday. The continued decline in oil prices can be attributed to various market factors, including the strengthening of the dollar, which typically exerts downward pressure on oil prices as it makes the commodity more expensive for holders of other currencies.
