Cairo: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Cairo this afternoon, coming from Riyadh. He was welcomed at Cairo International Airport by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, President Erdogan is accompanied by a high-level delegation including Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek, Family and Social Services Minister Mahinur Ozdemir Aktas, Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar, Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacir, Youth and Sports Minister Osman Askin Bak, Defense Minister Yasar Guler, Health Minister Kemal Memisoglu, and Burhanettin Duran, head of the Turkish Presidency’s Communications Directorate.
After the welcoming ceremony, Presidents Erdogan and Sisi engaged in a closed bilateral meeting. Later, they will jointly lead the second meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, involving delegations from both nations as planned in the visit’s itinerary.
Erdogan and Sisi are also set to attend the closing session of the Turkish-Egyptian Business Forum, which is organized as part of the official visit.
