Araghchi Describes Muscat Talks As Positive And Announces The Next Round

Muscat: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi confirmed on Friday that the atmosphere during the Muscat talks was positive, noting that the interests and rights of the Iranian people were addressed.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Araqchi stated, “There is an agreement to continue negotiations in general,” describing this stage as a new beginning for negotiations. He also pointed out the significant lack of trust at this time, which poses a challenge to the current negotiations.

Araqchi added, “If this path continues between the two sides, it is possible to find a clearer framework for negotiations in the upcoming sessions.” He noted that “the general atmosphere of the talks was good, and it was agreed to continue them in the coming period.”

He revealed, “An agreement was reached to continue negotiations, and we will determine the date and location of the next session in the coming days.” He continued, “If this path continues between the two sides, we can find a clearer framework for negotiations in the upcoming sessions, and the date for the next round of talks will be determined during the upcoming consultations with my Omani counterpart.”
