Istanbul: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan affirmed on Saturday evening that he and King Abdullah II of Jordan had made important decisions that would strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries. In a speech delivered at the Dolmabah§e Palace in Istanbul during his meeting with King Abdullah II, Erdogan stated that they were in complete agreement on “the necessity for peace, tranquility, security, and stability to prevail in every inch of our region.” He noted that he had expressed to the King his appreciation for the Kingdom’s efforts in this regard, given its role as custodian of the holy sites in East Quds.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Erdogan expressed his hope that the discussions held between the Turkish and Jordanian sides would bring positive outcomes for both countries and the region. For his part, King Abdullah emphasized “the necessity of ensuring the implementation of the agreement to end the war in Gaza and alleviating the humanitarian suffering by increasing the flow of relief aid and initiating reconstruction efforts.”
