Foreign Minister Congratulates Iraqi Journalists Syndicate on the Success of its 23rd Electoral Conference


Baghdad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein extended his warmest congratulations to the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate on the successful conclusion of its 23rd electoral conference, held at the syndicate’s headquarters.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that Fuad Hussein expressed his personal congratulations on the election of Khalid Jassim as head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate. He also congratulated the elected deputy heads, Muayyad al-Lami and Jabbar Tarad, along with the members of the syndicate’s council and the members of the oversight and disciplinary committees.



The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the success of this union election represents a significant step in consolidating freedom of opinion and expression, and strengthening the values of democracy and institutional work. He emphasized the pivotal role of the national press in supporting stability, conveying the truth professionally and responsibly, and contributing to building a state of law and institutions.
