Baghdad: The National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji met with Admiral George Wikoff, the Commander of Allied Joint Forces Command in Naples, along with his delegation. The meeting, held on Sunday, was attended by Major General Christophe Hintze, Commander of the NATO Mission in Iraq.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting involved a review of the NATO Mission in Iraq’s tasks and activities. Discussions emphasized the need to enhance cooperation in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. The talks also covered the development of security capabilities, the intensification of information exchange, and the effective use of technical and technological resources to combat terrorist organizations.
Al-Araji highlighted the importance of unified international efforts to combat extremism and terrorism. Admiral Wikoff acknowledged the strong relations between Iraq and the NATO mission, appreciating the cooperation in security capacity building, information sharing, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. These efforts are seen as pivotal in boosting security and stability in Iraq and the surrounding region.
