Foreign Ministers of Multiple Nations Condemn Israeli Settlement Policy

Cairo: The Foreign Ministers of the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar have issued a strong condemnation of Israel’s recent actions in the occupied West Bank. They criticized the illegal Israeli decisions and measures aimed at imposing illegitimate sovereignty, expanding settlements, and creating a new legal and administrative reality, which they argue accelerates illegal annexation and the displacement of the Palestinian population. The ministers emphasized that Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territory.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Foreign Ministers warned that Israel’s expansionist policies and illegal measures in the West Bank are escalating violence and conflict in the region. The statement highlighted the ministers’ unanimous rejection of these actions, which they regard as a clear violation of international law. The ministers asserted that these measures not only undermine the two-state solution but also infringe upon the Palestinian people’s right to establish an independent state based on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The statement further clarified that such actions by Israel are detrimental to ongoing peace efforts and threaten the stability of the region. The ministers reiterated their commitment to supporting the rights of the Palestinian people and maintaining international law as a framework for resolving the conflict.
