Iraqi Special Forces Achieve Silver in Global Military Competition


Baghdad: The First Special Forces Division of the Iraqi Army has secured the silver medal in the ninth edition of the Pakistan Army Team Spirit (PATS) competition. The event featured 26 military teams from 24 countries and is recognized as one of the most challenging military contests globally.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Defense announced that the competition spanned 60 continuous hours. Participants undertook complex military tasks over rugged terrain, covering a total distance of 90 kilometers. The Iraqi team showcased significant combat efficiency, physical readiness, and military discipline, completing all stages of the competition and outperforming numerous teams.



The ministry’s statement emphasized that this accomplishment highlights the advanced capabilities of the Iraqi Special Forces, reflecting their competence to compete and attain notable results in international military events.
