Baghdad: The National Security Service has confirmed the execution by hanging of Saadoun Sabri al-Qaisi following the completion of all required legal procedures.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Service’s spokesperson, Arshad al-Hakim, stated that Sabri al-Qaisi was found guilty of committing serious crimes against humanity. These crimes included the assassination of Sayyid Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr, as well as the murder of several scholars from the al-Hakim family and other innocent civilians.
