Baghdad: The US Department of Defense has announced a contract with General Dynamics Land Systems valued at $11,994,680. This contract is aimed at providing maintenance and logistical support for the Iraqi Army’s fleet of M1A1SA Abrams tanks and M88A1/A2 armored rescue vehicles.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Pentagon specified that the maintenance work will be conducted at Camp Taji. The contract is slated for completion by the end of this year. The funding for this project comes from foreign military sales to Iraq, highlighting the ongoing military collaboration between the United States and Iraq.
