Arab Journalists Union Mourns the Passing of Advisor Al-Hashemi Nouira


Tunis: The Arab Journalists Union mourned its Advisor, Al-Hashemi Nouira, who passed away after a life dedicated to service.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, in a statement, the Union expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Al-Hashemi Nouira, who was recognized as a prominent Arab journalist and unionist. His contributions to journalistic and professional work were significant, and he was known for his role in supporting journalists’ unions across the Arab world. He was a leading political analyst and held a distinguished career serving Arab journalism.



The statement highlighted Nouira’s vital role in the Arab Journalists Union, where he championed the values of freedom, professionalism, and Arab solidarity. He also made substantial contributions to the International Federation of Journalists and several other international and regional organizations, focusing on serving Arab causes.



Throughout his career, Nouira worked for numerous Tunisian newspapers and collaborated with many Arab publications. He was a respected political analyst on various Tunisian television and radio channels and was committed to training journalists and advancing media and journalistic practices.



Nouira was instrumental in the historic transition from the Tunisian Journalists Association to the National Union of Tunisian Journalists. He played a key role in the legal and organizational foundation of the new union framework, marking a significant development in Tunisia’s journalistic landscape.



In its concluding remarks, the Union extended heartfelt condolences and sympathies to Nouira’s family and to the journalistic community in Tunisia, the Arab region, and internationally. The Union prayed for divine mercy for Nouira and for strength and solace for his family and loved ones.
