Baghdad: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations, Ambassador Mohammed Hussein Mohammed Bahr Al-Uloom, received the Charg© d’Affaires of the Swedish Embassy in Iraq, J¶rgen Lindstr¶m, on Tuesday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that discussions during the meeting focused on bilateral cooperation between Iraq and Sweden. They explored ways to enhance these relations in order to achieve the common interests of both countries, while also addressing political and economic issues of mutual concern.

Lindstr¶m confirmed his government’s commitment to resuming the operations of the Swedish Embassy from Baghdad in the near future. He further indicated Sweden’s plans to organize a Business Forum in Sweden after Ramadan, with a similar event planned in Iraq during the upcoming summer. The aim of these forums is to strengthen economic cooperation and encourage mutual investments between the two nations.
